Flic is the President of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine of the three Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK which oversees pharmaceutical medicine and those working within it. It includes those working R&D, regulation, safety and medical affairs of medicines and devices.
Flic said “I am particularly pleased to receive this award as FPH gave the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine so much support when we were founded 34 years ago. Many regard pharmaceutical medicine as the public health discipline that oversees medicines and devices and in the US physicians working in FDA are Board certified in public health. I am awed by the other awardees and humbled and delighted to be recipient of this honour and look forward to contributing much more in public health.”
