Dave is a microbiologist with over 40 years’ experience in the development of antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral agents. He has an extensive range of skills and experience covering pre-clinical to post-marketing microbiology-related activities and is an expert in microbiology programme strategy and tactics, regulatory submissions, use and interpretation of PK/PD data, and interaction with EUCAST.
Dave obtained his degree in microbiology from North East Surrey College of Technology (UK) and a diploma in clinical science (MSc-equivalent) from the Institute of Clinical Research (UK).
Prior to joining tranScrip, Dave spent 27 years at GlaxoSmithKline, including in antibiotic discovery, clinical development, medical affairs and scientific communications. He was also European director of microbiology at Chiron Biopharmaceuticals and was an independent microbiology consultant providing microbiology consultancy services to various pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
