Ed is a pharmaceutical physician with more than 30 years expertise in Medical Affairs and Clinical Development.
Ed qualified in medicine in the UK and worked for 7 years in London teaching hospitals, with specialist training in infection. He entered the pharmaceutical industry with Eli Lilly as International clinical research physician in anti-infectives, later moving to Switzerland to join F. Hoffmann-La Roche as medical director of their global oncology/virology business unit, with further roles as global business leader in oncology and ophthalmology, and in companion diagnostics/personalised medicine.
Ed subsequently held leadership positions in Swiss and German venture-backed biotech/medtech companies in the areas of tissue repair and sepsis diagnostics, as well as pharmaceutical consulting and business development roles at major consulting companies.
At tranScrip, Ed leads the medical affairs team, supporting our clients with a variety of medical affairs programmes, as well as providing clinical development support across several therapeutic areas, especially oncology, infectious disease, wound care, and women’s health.
