Emma Chaffin

Emma is a seasoned commercial leader with 25 years’ worth of experience across the healthcare industry, consulting and pharma/biotech organisations.

Emma qualified as a pharmacist with a BSc(Hons) from Aston University. She then spent 5 years working for the NHS in clinical services and during this time completed a diploma in clinical Pharmacy from the University of London.

Emma subsequently moved to the consulting world, leading multi-country and multi-practice commercial engagements across the product lifecycle. Emma has also more recently held senior commercial positions in pharma/biotech and has twice led research stage start-ups on their commercial journey to initial product launch. In these roles, she has experience sitting on the Executive leadership teams. Emma brings commercial expertise across a diverse range of therapy areas from orphan diseases to large therapy areas and is proficient with cross-functional teams spanning traditional pharma divides.

At tranScrip, Emma leads the Commercial Strategy and Portfolio Services team, ensuring that commercial oversight is included in pivotal decisions across the development pathway. Emma is also heavily involved with project delivery in the Commercial services area.
