Marcin Mankowski

Marcin is a pharmaceutical physician who has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 26 years and held a number of senior positions in big pharma and biotech companies. He is a drug development expert in infectious diseases and respiratory medicine.

Marcin has been involved in the development, registration and launch of many products. His experience includes strategy for early development programmes from pre-clinical to proof-of concept studies, design and management of clinical trials, preparation and defence of regulatory submissions in Europe, US and Asia. Marcin supported the regulatory and clinical strategy for many antibacterials, antifungals and antivirals, as well as products for asthma, COPD and COVID-19 and led preparation of several successful MAAs/NDAs.

Marcin graduated from the Medical University of Warsaw, and spent several years in academia, working as a practicing doctor and research fellow at pneumonology and infectious diseases departments. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine.

Before co-founding tranScrip, he held several positions in R&D and Medical departments of Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Chiron Biopharmaceuticals.

In 2022, in recognition of his long-standing contribution to pharmaceutical medicine, Marcin was awarded Membership of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine by Distinction.
